STATE PARK PEACEOFFICER SUPERVISOR – CENTRAL VALLEY DISTRICT / SAN JOAQUIN SECTOR / MILLERTONLAKE STATE RECREATION AREA
The reporting location for this position is Millerton LakeState Recreation Area in Fresno, CA. This position will work under the general supervisionof State Park Superintendent III.
The function of this position is assurance of the safety ofthe visitor, and interpretation and protection of natural, cultural, historicaland recreational resources. The primary duties of this position include, butare not limited to, the following: supervise daily field operations; providesupervision for State Park Rangers, Lifeguards, Seasonal Lifeguards and ParkAids; review and approve all citations, and/or warnings, make arrests; CrimeReports, Traffic Accident Reports, Incident Reports and additionalpark-specific reports; assist the Sector Superintendent in maintaining liaisonwith all allied law enforcement agencies; serve as Field Training Supervisorfor new State Park Peace Officers assigned to Sector; provide information onnatural, cultural and historical resources; supervise Interpretive programs.Monitor and report on conditions of: regulatory and/or interpretive signs;boundary fences; gates; restoration projects; sensitive habitat areas;ecological reserves; designated trails; and archeological sites, fortrespasses, encroachments or hazardous conditions.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
