    Verrill is actively reviewing resumes for a Legal Assistant position in our Portland, Maine office. As one of New England's top full-service law firms, we are interested in hiring talented individuals to join our team.     This role is a full-time, non-exempt position supporting attorneys in our Litigation Practice Group. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, eFiling and docketing, typing and revising legal documents and correspondence, proofreading, maintaining files (paper and electronic), calendaring and tracking deadlines, conducting online and general research, answering the telephone, assisting clients, and responding promptly with the ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

    The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with litigation experience including the responsibilities outlined above. The successful candidate will produce high quality work in a timely and professional manner, while providing exceptional client service and team support. The ideal applicant will have impeccable attention to detail, strong organization skills, advanced computer skills (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and a general knowledge of both state and federal trial court processes and procedures. Applicants should have proven project management skills, the ability to prioritize tasks successfully, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
