    Job Description:

    We are looking for a seasoned Senior Grower Accountant to oversee all financial aspects related to our partnerships with growers. The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the knack for effective communication with growers and internal stakeholders.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain accurate accounting records for all grower transactions, such as invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments to growers as per contracts and company policies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review grower contracts, agreements, and pricing structures for financial compliance and accuracy.
    • Regularly conduct financial analysis and reporting on grower accounts, offering insights and recommendations to management.
    • Act as the main contact point for growers regarding financial matters, resolving inquiries, disputes, and reconciliations promptly and professionally.
    • Assist in establishing internal controls and procedures for grower accounting to ensure regulatory adherence and best practices.
    • Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analyses to management, emphasizing key performance indicators and areas for enhancement.
    • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process for grower payments and expenses, leveraging historical data and industry insights.
    • Stay informed about industry updates, regulations, and best practices in grower accounting, sharing relevant knowledge with the team.
    • Provide guidance and training to junior accounting team members to support their skill development.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
    • Minimum of 3 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably focusing on grower accounting or agricultural finance.
    • Sound knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
    • Previous experience in working with growers or the agricultural sector is highly valued.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills.
    • Effective communication abilities to engage with growers, vendors, and internal stakeholders across all organizational levels.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities efficiently.
    • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the capacity to mentor and nurture junior team members.
