    Description

    Grower Accountant

    Job Description

    A Grower Accountant is responsible for managing the internal systems according to GAAP, tax planning, and crop accounting using Famous accounting software. They compile and prepare work papers to support the preparation, review, and analysis of U.S. Federal and State income tax returns, tax provisions, transfer pricing studies, and other domestic and international tax compliance projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Financial Management:
      • Calculate and prepare weekly payments to growers.
      • Review grower contracts to ensure settlements are accurately calculated.
      • Map all vendors in the vendor MDS table.
    • Tax Compliance:
      • Assist in tax planning and compliance, including income tax returns and provisions.
      • Collaborate with third-party accounting providers for day-to-day accounting activities.
    • Data Analysis:
      • Analyze crop accounting data using Famous software.
      • Maintain accurate records related to grower accounting.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Skills and Abilities:
      • Proficiency in Famous accounting software.
      • Familiarity with the agriculture industry and grower settlements.
      • Attention to detail and accuracy.
