    Job Title: Bookkeeping, Accounting
    Employment Type: Contract
    Work Hours: 40 hrs./week
    Work site: 100% Onsite
    Location: Mid-Hudson Bridge, Highland, NY 12518
    Job Duration: 9 Months
    Closing: 03/01/2024.

    Minimum Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    Work Experience:
    • t least 3 years of experience in administrative and human resources tasks
    • Experience in payroll processing, accounting/bookkeeping, and other supportive administrative functions
    Job Duties:
    • Scanning personnel files, electronic filing to on-base, and shredding
    • Tracking and updating employee accruals
    • Tracking and updating employee anniversary list
    • Managing new hires: scheduling interviews, fingerprints, physicals, and orientation
    • Organizing and running orientation and onboarding processes
    • Drafting and sending employee-related letters (hiring, health care, etc.)
    • Managing retiree/PT dental and vision payments
    • Managing retiree/PT dental and vision rate increases and annual letters/remittance slips
    • ssisting with workplace scheduling
    • Tracking active Covid-19 cases/quarantine
    • Preparing seasonal orientation and day-of activities
    • Processing workplace invoices, dental and vision invoices
    • Processing bi-weekly payroll and sending payroll reports on a monthly basis
    • Processing deferred comp reports
    • Creating payroll authorization labels for ED to sign off
    • Preparing and reconciling monthly bank statements: Revenue Fund, Flex, Payroll, A/P
    • Uploading GL payroll files
    • Uploading bi-weekly accrual reports to GTM drive
    • Preparing unemployment and retirement wage requests
    • Tracking annual training acknowledgment forms and emergency contact updates, then scanning and filing to on-base
    • Reviewing and updating yearly ACA 1094/1095C forms
    • Quarterly tax reconciliation
    • Reviewing W-2s
    • Processing yearly payouts
    • ssisting with retirement enrollment
    • Managing health benefits enrollment/changes/termination
    Preferred Skills:
    • Critical thinking skills for processing payroll and reviewing reports.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or any financial system used.
    • bility to create spreadsheets and track data.
    Misc. Information:
    • This is a temporary position from April 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025
    • Work Hours and Location: 8 hours daily, Monday - Friday; 8 AM to 4 PM.
    • The role supports the Human Resources Department and Administration.
    • On-site position with potential occasional remote work due to inclement weather or emergencies.
    • Free parking available on campus.
    • Public transportation (bus, Uber, taxi) available between Poughkeepsie and Highland.
    • Interviews will be conducted at the Headquarters Building.
    • Training will be provided by the employer.
