    Lead Engineer- MULTITUDES PROJECT

    Full Time

    To learn more about the MULTITUDES Project

    As the technical leader on this project, you will own the technical design and development of web-based applications and backend services.

    You will provide technical guidance for large scale projects related to web-based applications and digital tools used for dyslexia screening, free of charge, across the state of California.

    You will establish patterns to ensure engineering effectiveness and engineering excelllence. You'll work your team to push projects forward by providing feedback on code and architecture decisions.

    You will keep up a working knowledge of evolving tools and innovations in programming to guide engineering execution and implementation.

    The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point.

    For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

    The Multitudes Project is part of the Memory and Aging Center (MAC) is the largest division within the Department of Neurology with a diverse workforce of over 260 employees.

    The Department of Neurology is a teaching, research, and clinical care unit within the School of Medicine (SOM). The department is constructed of 14 administrative divisions with 11 clinical specialties.

    The department has over 230 faculty and academic employees, 290 staff positions, and 170 trainees including residents, clinical fellows, and postdoctoral scholars.

    Bachelor's degree in a related area and a minimum five years of experience or equivalent experience/training.
    Advanced knowledge of secure software development
    Highly advanced skills associated with software specification, design, modification, implementation, and deployment of large-scale scope.
    Excellent project leadership and management skills.
    Demonstrated ability to develop conversion and system implementation plans.
    Advanced experience with planning for deployment and creation of feedback mechanisms.
    Demonstrated software repository skills.
