    Description

    Operate 4 and 6 Axis CNC Lathe machines (Doosan and Nakamura), making tight tolerance *Aerospace* parts from *exotic alloys* in a productive and safe manner that meets Nelson Numeric and its customers' quality requirements.

    *Position is located in Bloomington, MN**Essential Duties*:


    • Setup, adjust and operate a variety of mutli axis and multi turret CNC Lathe machines within the Machining department.
    • Follow set-up procedures and recommends improvements
    • Ability to calculate and make adjustments to feeds and speeds to maintain tight tolerance parts on a variety of metals, including exotic alloys
    • Adjusts tools and replace as needed- Close Tolerance Machining
    • Ability to read and interpret CNC Code on twin Turret Lathes with live tooling
    • Must read and understand layouts, job packets and blueprints for the parts being run, including geometric tolerancing
    • Provide accurate inventory counts at all times and keep parts in appropriate storage areas
    *Position Requirements:
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Completion of a 2 year degree in Machining Technology or CNC Machining- preferred or 5 years of Multi Turret CNC Lathe Experience- Compensated based on Experience
    • Demonstrated ability to read/understand multi axis CNC programs and layouts required
    • Must Understand Blueprints, Measuring, Machinist Math, Tooling and GDT
    • Strong interpersonal, written, oral communications, problem solving, and mechanical skills
    • Excellent Problem Solving skills, Don't be afraid to ask
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs
    *Hours of work*2nd Shift: Monday to Thursday: 4pm to 2:30am- *12 % Shift premium

    Pay:
    $ $39.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

    • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

    Experience:

    • Blueprint reading: 3 years (Preferred)
    • GD&T: 3 years (Preferred)
    • Aerospace: 3 years (Preferred)
    • CNC Lathe-
    Multi Axis: 5 years (Required)
