SummaryThe role of the CNC Programmer is to develop a robust manufacturing process for new components and to continuously improve established processes.

The CNC Programmer will use good manufacturing processes (GMP) to develop parts through the use of CAD, CAM, manual programming edits, tool selection and process verification techniques.

Blueprint reading and some GD&T knowledge is important.$2000 sign on bonus.

Generous compensation and benefits that begin on day 1Primary ResponsibilitiesReads and interprets technical drawings and CAD modelsUses a mixture of CAM Software and/or manual edits to program new and existing parts to optimize tool cutting pathDevelops and maintains detailed documentation for setup/inspection/manufacturing procedures for each newly developed componentProvides technical input for manufacturing improvements on difficult to machine componentsValidates the NC code generated from the CNC program by monitoring initial production jobs for long-term efficacy and repeatabilityAids in the design of fixtures/work holding for machining partsCollaborates with Engineering, set-up techs, and machinists on new product introduction / continuous improvement activitiesTroubleshoots and resolves programming and machining problems as they arise.

Assists Engineering/ Manufacturing / Quoting as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Swiss setup machinistA minimum of one year's experience as a CNC programmerMust be a U.S.

Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contractual requirementsPreferred QualificationsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsUnderstanding of different manufacturing processes:
broaching, thread whirling, turning, milling, drilling, boring, tapping, grooving etc.

Understanding of speeds and feeds for different tool types in various materialsStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and stick to a deadlinePhysical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, continuous mental and visual attention is needed. The ability to stand for a shift, sit, talk, and hear is frequently required. Lifting up to 40 pounds is required. Exposure to manufacturing areas where temperature may vary, and personal protective equipment is required.
