Facilitates MRB activity including investigation and measurement of suspected non-conforming material using calibrated devices.Under the guidance of the Quality Engineer II / Senior Quality Engineer and the Quality Director, supports new product introduction by ensuring First Article requirements are met and ensures compliance to calibration activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Non-Conforming Material:
Conducts inspection of suspected non-conforming material and provides reports / evaluation for disposition.
Supports and leads investigations, documents results.
Prepares concession / deviation reports for provision to customers.
Inspection and Process Control:
In conjunction with engineering and manufacturing personnel, develops and implements control processes and programs, ensuring critical to quality characteristics are defined and implemented in the manufacturing processes.
Conducts dimensional evaluation and prepares first article inspection documentation.
Ensure calibration program is implemented and facilitated in alignment with industry expectations, and that records are available per requirements.
Completes calibration activities Coordinates 3rd party calibration vendorsMeasurement System Analysis / GR&ROther Quality related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE BS Engineering or Technology discipline (or equivalent experience)Aerospace industry experience preferredFamiliarity with ISO 9000 and AS9100 quality standardsNadcap Special Processes experience preferredKnowledge of statistical techniques, SPC, FAI, PPAPExperience in Lean Manufacturing / Visual Factory / Continuous Improvement ToolsMust possess solid analytical skills in defining problems, collection data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusionsCMM/Laser scanning experienceGD&T certification perferredASQ CQI or CQE preferred LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts and ability to apply fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS ASQ CQA or CQE preferred.
