    Description


    The Quality Engineers role is to evaluate the quality assurance of the Novagards processes and products, and to recommend revisions of indicated specifications.

    The responsibilities include testing of the products, systems, and procedures to ensure that technical standards are met and documenting the findings and conclusions of those findings.

    Quality Engineer is liaison between engineering, safety, production teams, and the customer to uncover quality related issues.

    An effective Quality Engineer assures that engineering and manufacturing processes are performed correctly, using the right tools, materials, and processes.

    An important part of the job involves designing the companys quality standards and testing processes against those criteria.
    Essential Functions

    Implements inspection plans for new projects and updates current projects as necessary.

    Supports manufacturing engineer in process validations, process control, process training programs, process improvement, risk management, and software validations and control.

    Develops protocols for validation, evaluates data, and writes reports.
    Be responsible for the new testing equipment and new test methods development MSA, GR&R included.
    Collaborates with Process Engineer on PFMEA development and revisions.
    Collaborate with Material Engineer, Quality Manager and R&D Team on Control Plans development or revision.
    Be the voice of Quality and collaborate with Product Manager.
    Lead Continuous Improvement efforts, problem identification, improvement, and resolution.
    Prepares reports to evaluate effectiveness of quality systems.
    Provides support to Quality Manager and customer representatives in regards to quality issues resolutions.
    Works with suppliers to resolve or improve quality issues and to implement effective corrective action.
    Develops and maintains quality standards and requirements for development and design projects.
    Ensure products adhere to company and industry standards.
    Works cooperatively in a team environment to reach common results and goals.

    Good mathematical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Minitab or other statistical software
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Work Environment
    This job operates in a clean, controlled environment.

    This role routinely uses laboratory equipment such as viscometers, electric balances, lab ovens, tensile machine, compression deflection machine, peel adhesion machine, hardness gauges, penetrometer, etc.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, lift push or pull up to 50 lbs.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position.

    Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, starting time may vary but will typically be between 6 am and 8 am.

    Travel
    Some travel may be required to service the quality needs of customers.

    Required Education and Experience
    Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent discipline
    Minimum 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance and manufacturing environment
    Root cause analysis experience
    Knowledge of
    Knowledge of Quality Management Concepts like GR&R, MSA studies, Calibrations, MOC, KPI, Continuous Improvement, 5S, etc.
