- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of health care services in accordance with the facility's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and lead a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Develop and manage the healthcare services budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to healthcare in a correctional setting, including maintaining accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with correctional staff, external medical providers, and community resources to coordinate inmate care.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare services and patient outcomes.
- Address inmate grievances related to healthcare services, ensuring timely and appropriate resolutions.
- Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong preference for experience in correctional health, hospital management, or public health administration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage healthcare operations, including staff management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to healthcare excellence, ethical practices, and compassionate patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment and make critical decisions related to inmate healthcare.
