As the SrAccountant at RITALKA, you will assist in the oversight and management of the general accounting functions, included, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll.

What does the Sr Accountant do at RITALKA?

Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Quarterly and year-end financial review activities.
Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports on schedule.
Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
Work with external accountants to ensure correct and timely reporting.
Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations; ensures compliance with GAAP principles.
Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
Support month-end and year-end close process.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

What are we looking for in a great candidate?

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations is essential
Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
Proficient use of MS Office and financial management software
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MSc/MBA preferred
CPA highly desirable, but not required
10+ Years of experience as an accountant in the manufacturing or heavy industry

Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.
