- Interacts with team members, providing indirect daily leadership with the accounting team.
- Prepares and analyzes various account reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze various reports, such as internal and external reports, financial statements, and production sight data.
- Understands and prepares sales, use tax, and other required compliance reporting.
- Prioritizes job responsibilities to maximize efficiency and meet commitments and deadlines.
- Assist in the development of standardized processes to create an operationally efficient team.
- Documents and keeps work procedures up to date.
- Provides suggestions for process improvements
- Works under deadlines, resolving and correcting errors, and maintaining excellent communications with all locations and teams.
- Maintain confidentiality of information and adhere to policies and procedures

- Completes special assignments and projects.

- Work with the Finance and Accounting Team to provide needed information in an accurate and timely manner to facilitate department responsibilities
- Ensure privacy policies and procedures established by SFI regarding protected health information are implemented and maintained
- Advocate and engage in SFI's animal welfare policy, including promoting animal well-being, remedying circumstances which impede animal care, and properly reporting instances of mistreatment or abuse
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and/or 2 years of financial accounting experience.
- Understanding of accounting and financial principles
- Medium technical skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.), and other related accounting and/or report writing software applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, communication, team building, problem solving, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- A high degree of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
- High degree of confidentiality, professionalism and business ethics
- Be detail-oriented; able to multi-task and work independently
- Project management skills, including assist in planning, guiding, and implementing projects and responsibilities
- Training or experience in financial reporting
