    Summary

    Responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the Revenue Cycle processes throughout the Tahoe Forest Hospital District.This position is responsible for the provision of Revenue Cycle Management, ensuring a strategy and vision for these services that support the TFHS Strategic Plan.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Will manage work groups to consistently meet expectations for utilization of human and material resources.
      Key Financial Indicators:
    • Director will oversee the developmentand maintenance all reporting processes for key performance indicators
    • Will consistently meet or exceed key performance indicator targets.
    • Will analyze and redesign processes as needed to improve key performance indicators
    • Will prepare and present regular reports to Executive Staff on key performance indicators, issues and strategies for problem solving.
    Revenue
    • Director will consistently work with department heads and supervisors to ensure the highest level of efficiency in correctly charging, billing and collecting revenue.
    • Will work to improve payer relationships to ensure correct billing, reimbursement rates and reduce denials.
    • Will coordinate root cause analysis meetings that include all key staff to provide solutions for increased revenue and reductions in denials.
    • Will seek to establish long term solutions in process development and redesign to sustain increased revenue on an annual basis.
    Regulatory Compliance
    • Director will distribute updates related to compliance and reimbursement changes for state, federal and commercial carriers and provide training to staff to ensure regulatory changes are implemented.
    • Will ensure system compliance with regulatory changes.
    Management and Team Development
    • Director will meet with Revenue Cycle leadership in weekly staff meetings to ensure team building, problem solving, goal setting and departmental effectiveness.
    • Will meet individually with Revenue Cycle leadership to ensure departmental effectiveness, problem solving and goal achievement.
    • Will strategically work with TFHS Executive Staff and Education Department to ensure the development and ongoing effectiveness and of a comprehensive Revenue Cycle Training Program
    Budgeting and Cost Control
    • Director will follow TFHS budgeting policies and procedures and work to ensure that all budgets are managed and costs are controlled as outlined.

    Supervisory Responsibilities
    The Director of Revenue Cycle is responsible to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to): interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving root causes of issues.

    Education and Experience

    Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree.(May be substituted with years of experience)

    Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Related field, Healthcare Administration or related field.Master's degree with emphasis in Business or Healthcare Management.

    Minimum Experience: Minimum of 7 years experience in a hospital or healthcare related field.Must have at least 5 years of management experience.Expertise in administering the internal and external data processing systems in relation to the Revenue Cycle.

    Preferred Experience: Expertise in Medicare, California Medi-Cal, Nevada Medicaid, CCS, CMS, TriWest (Champus), commercial insurance, state and federal funding programs.

    Required: Valid Driver's License
