    **Sr. Buyer**

    **Location:** San Jose, California, United States ****Job Summary:****

    Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Buyer who is energetic and detail-oriented to support our fast growing organization. This position will be a member of the dynamic Purchasing team in the companys headquarters located in San Jose, CA.

    ****Essential Duties and Responsibilities:****

    The responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

    Board level components purchasing job included material management, supply chain management, price negotiation and CM contract price review.

    Support engineering team on the new product development support & support QA team to work with vendor, if there is quality issue or concern

    Board level material procurement to support US local CM production & Asia CM shortage support

    Daily interface with engineering, production, vendor, & contract manufacture

    Work with PM & Engineering design team on the new product development support

    Obtain and negotiate competitive quotation and analysis the vendor quotation based upon product specification & market price

    Based on SMC MRP system to review & control the demand & inventory management

    Long lead time & unique components management

    CM shortage support

    All of above not limited to but as assigned

    ****Qualifications:****

    Bachelor's degree in business administration, material management, manufacturing or similar discipline preferred

    Minimum of 8 years materials management, procurement and supply chain experience preferred

    Must have proven track record of customer focus and support of internal and external customer requirements

    Strong ability to manage through operational changes in process, environment and resources

    Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to work on multiple priorities at once

    Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources develop/recommend/implement solutions

    Ability to grasp and understand overall business processes while being able to perform and validate the processes at the detail level

    Proven ability to resolve problems independently and take appropriate action in a timely manner

    Proficient in Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

    Quickly learns and achieves proficiency in new software applications as needed
