- Monitors, maintains, and conducts standard repairs on building electrical facilities and systems.
- Oversees heating, ventilation, and cooling system performance.
- Handles non-technical plumbing maintenance tasks.
- Performs carpentry maintenance duties.
- Assists with water treatment system maintenance.
- Completes general maintenance, custodial, and trash removal tasks.
- Repairs kitchen equipment.
- Ensures equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
- Documents maintenance needs and work performed.
- Engages in snow removal when necessary.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of directly related experience.
- Successful completion of PPD Trades Training Program and at least 6 months of related experience.
- Proficiency in computer usage, preferably in a Windows-based operating system.
- Strong record-keeping abilities.
- Skilled in following instructions and procedures.
- Aptitude in using hand and power tools.
- Capable of repairing and maintaining appliances and HVAC equipment.
- Knowledgeable in at least one building trade.
- Requires performing non-technical maintenance tasks.
- Responsible for monitoring HVAC system performance.
- Tasks include repairing electrical and plumbing fixtures, replacing windows, and painting.
- Must hold a valid New Mexico driver's license.
- Required to pass a pre-employment physical examination.
- Compliance with influenza vaccination requirement for those working in patient care areas.
- Background checks are mandatory for certain positions.
- Union representation for regular positions in this classification.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, biohazardous materials, and loud noises.
- Requires physical exertion with heavy lifting.
