The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all electrical and mechanical infrastructure within the data center in Somerville, TN.

This includes systems such as UPS, MV electrical systems, generators, and cooling systems.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a strong understanding of electrical principles and competencies.

They should be self-motivated and able to proactively solve complex technical issues. This role will involve frequent site visits, critical switching activities, and resolving infrastructure problems.

It is well-suited for someone who enjoys hands-on work with M&E infrastructure, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS's, PDU's, AHU's, fire detection systems, and building automation systems.

The EOT will report to the Data Center Engineering Operations Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe work environment and promote a culture of safety
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts and adhere to standard procedures and policies
  • Ensure 100% uptime for all customer infrastructure
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellent service for AWS customers
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance for critical facility infrastructure according to AWS procedures
  • Monitor and supervise facility operations through various systems
  • Participate in the construction and retrofitting of data center infrastructure
  • Respond to and resolve any potential customerimpacting events on electrical or mechanical infrastructure
  • Review incident reports, track trends, and provide updates and recommendations to management
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including method
