- Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries
- Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
- Maintaining general ledger charts of accounts
- Assisting with internal control evaluations
- Posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals
- Assist HR with processing payroll through Paychex
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable, maintaining payroll including commissions and payment of bills.
- Preform month-end close.
- Preparing financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensuring that financial records are accurate and compliant with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Generating financial reports and providing insights into business performance
- Analyzing financial data and making recommendations for improvement of financial performance
- Handling day-to-day accounting tasks such as accounts payables and receivables, cash disbursement, and journal entries
- Reconciling bank statements and credit accounts
- Managing budgets and monitoring expenses
- Preparing and filing tax returns for federal, state, and local governments
- Assisting in the preparation of audits and providing necessary documentation
- Maintaining confidentiality and security of financial information
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 3 years of focused accounting & ledger experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and other financial regulations
- CPA, EA, or CPA eligible preferred
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in using accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word & Excel
- Ability to work independently & in a team atmosphere
- Relevant work experience in accounting or related field
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other teams
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
