I'm partnered with the Controller at a rapidly growing, multi-million dollar organization located near Franklin Park, IL.Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team as their Chicago branch continues to grow Reporting to the Controller with tons of visibility to the CFO, you will be responsible for full ownership of the month-end close process for their most profitable branch, identifying process improvements and procedures within the accounting department.
My favorite client is a prominent transportation company operating in the Americas region and looking to add a Senior Accountant to their accounting team.
With a strong presence and reputation in the industry, they offer a comprehensive range of freight solutions based of their client's need.
Leveraging their extensive network nationally and globally, they efficiently manages the movement of goods across various modes of transportation, including warehousing, intermodal, and air.

Journal Entries and General Ledgers
Monthly and quarterly reconciliations
ERP system implementation
Process improvements
Assist the Financial Controller and Senior Management in strategic planning
Weekly P&L reporting
Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business
CPA certification highly preferred
2+ years of experience in Accounting
Manufacturing, distribution, or related industry experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of GAAP
