    Description


    The Manager of Information Technology is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of an organization's information technology systems and infrastructure.

    They lead a team of IT professionals and collaborate with other departments to ensure that technology solutions align with business objectives.

    The Manager of IT develops and implements IT policies and procedures, manages the IT budget, and ensures the security and integrity of data and systems.

    They stay updated on emerging technologies and trends and make recommendations for technology investments and improvements.

    Additionally, they provide leadership and guidance for the IT Service Desk, as well as acting as an escalation point for higher level issues.

    Their core focus is prioritization and facilitation of IT projects both internally and with our many 3rd parties, as well as aligning those projects with the current business needs.

    Experience & Education

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

    3-5 years of experience in IT roles, with a proven track record of managing strategic and tactical IT projects.

    Comprehensive knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Execute the organization's IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.

    Lead and manage the IT Infrastructure & Service Desk teams, including staff, budgets, and resources.

    Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.

    Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with industry regulations and standards.

    Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency and innovation.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with business needs.

    Provide leadership and direction for IT projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.

    Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement within the IT team.

    Maintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

    Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

    Demonstrate a commitment to safety by complying with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Report any unsafe conditions, hazards, incidents, or near-miss events promptly. Participate in safety training and awareness programs to enhance knowledge and promote a safety-conscious workplace. Engage in proactive safety communication and initiatives to continuously improve our safety culture. Support and adhere to safety measures, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices.

    Work Environment & Physical Demands

    The work environment is typically within an office setting.

    Prolonged periods of computer usage.

    Ability to rack and mount IT Equipment, including servers that may weigh up to 50lbs.

    Travel Requirements

    This role involves regular travel within North America to oversee and lead IT Improvement Projects. While travel demands fluctuate annually, they are not anticipated to surpass 25% of yearly work commitments.

    Standard Daily Work

    Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team.

    Review IT project progress and address issues.

    Engage with key stakeholders and department heads.

    Monitor IT Operations and Service Desk escalations.

    Participate in status meetings and strategic planning sessions.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT initiatives.

    Conduct IT team meetings and performance assessments.

    Review and adjust IT priorities and strategies.

    Standard Monthly Work

    Prepare and present IT reports and insights to leadership.

    Monitor and analyze IT compliance objectives.

    Review and update IT strategies and initiatives.

    Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.

    Standard Quarterly Work

    Assist in quarterly IT reviews and strategic planning.

    Collaborate on technology innovation projects.

    Lead discussions on technology trends and competitive positioning.

    Contribute to risk management and mitigation planning.
