    Position: Managing Director of Technology
    Company: Fintech Company
    Location: Cleveland, OH (remote work possible with monthly in-person meetings)
    Duration: Full-time, W2 (client does not sponsor visas)

    Description: We're on the lookout for a Managing Director of Technology to spearhead the technical development of our client's platform. Your main objective will be to steer the evolution of a modern financial management platform and its supporting architecture and technologies to meet strategic business goals. You'll oversee both the internal development team and external agency management, ensuring smooth collaboration between different teams for a seamless execution.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide visionary and strategic leadership for the continuous development of a robust technology architecture
    • Maintain comprehensive and updated systems documentation, including detailed technical diagrams and wikis
    • Propose and execute technology projects that align with long-term business objectives
    • Guide Agile squads in optimizing development workflows and deployment processes
    • Offer technical insights on tool development and new technology adoption for decision-making processes
    • Handle corporate IT and network responsibilities, including managing relationships with outsourced IT vendors
    • Participate in business planning meetings to provide technical input for strategic goals
    • Lead technical and data privacy aspects for external audits and compliance controls
    • Develop corporate IT policies and monitoring frameworks
    • Collaborate with COO to ensure operational alignment with strategic objectives
    • Work with IT architect and senior engineers to maintain flexible technology for current and future business needs
    • Ensure requirements for new developments have strong system designs and detailed technical support
    • Identify and address technical limitations, resource issues, and project risks
    • Support compliance and privacy requirements as a registered investment advisor

    Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of experience in developing enterprise applications with Python/Django/PostgreSQL/High-Availability Infrastructure
    • Experience in managing cloud apps, especially on Google Cloud and Azure
    • Knowledge of 12-factor/OWASP best practices and SOC2 audit controls
    • Deep understanding of Relational Database modeling/optimization and ETL components
    • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
    • Understanding of transactional data and position data sets
    • Excellent analytical skills and ability to articulate technology's business value
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills for both independent work and long-term goals
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical and business discussions
    • Ability to foster a high-performance culture across engineering teams
