- Conduct market research to identify potential home builders and residential construction projects in target markets
- Prospect and cold-call home builders to introduce them to our CMU products and services
- Develop a deep understanding of our CMU product lines
- Educate home builders on the features, benefits, and technical specifications of our CMU products, emphasizing their suitability for residential construction applications
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within home building companies, including project managers, architects, and purchasing agents
- Network within the residential construction industry to expand our presence and influence
- Work closely with landscape architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our CMU products are specified in residential construction projects
- Provide technical support and assistance to architects and engineers during the specification process, highlighting the superior performance and cost-effectiveness of our CMU products
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to support the successful execution of residential construction projects using our CMU products
- Facilitate communication between home builders, contractors, and our production and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders
- Gather feedback from home builders, architects, and contractors regarding market trends, customer preferences, and competitive activity
- Analyze market data and trends to identify opportunities for product innovation, improvement, or expansion
- Previous experience in sales or business development, preferably in the construction materials industry with a focus on concrete masonry products
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of construction materials and methods, particularly related to residential construction
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear and compelling manner
- Proven track record of building and maintaining successful business relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory as needed
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field preferred

Description
Our client, a leader in the concrete masonry and hardscape materials space based out of Los Angeles, is looking for a Sales Representative to join their team. They serve the entire Southern California region and have supplied their products to build iconic sports and entertainment venues like Dodger Stadium, Rose Bowl, Angel Stadium, The Forum, and more. This role will promote and secure specifications for their high-quality concrete masonry units in residential construction projects. Your focus will be to encourage home builders to use their CMU products.
This is a fully onsite role based out of Sun Valley, CA.
