    Description

    Responsibilities:
    Works from mechanical drawings to layout material
    Setup various machine tools to drill, ream, tap, bore, turn, grind, mill, shape, or form
    Determine the sequence of operations required
    Carries out each operation on machines required from rough to finish
    Performs hand-finish operations
    Layout work for machines
    Perform inventory counts as required
    Supports/maintains a safe work environment


    Requirements:
    High School Diploma or GED
    Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred
    Minimum of 3 years experience as a Machinist
    Attention to detail
    Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals
    Mathematical skills and analytical abilities
    Experience in utilizing tools and machines (lathes, grinders, etc.)
    Team player with a commitment to quality
    Ability to utilize precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
    Mechanical skills and proficient math
    Must be able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds
    Available to work overtime
