    Description

    Job Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Work from mechanical drawings to lay out material
    • Set up various machine tools for drilling, reaming, tapping, boring, turning, grinding, milling, shaping, or forming
    • Determine the sequence of operations required
    • Carry out each operation on machines from rough to finish
    • Perform hand-finishing operations
    • Layout work for machines
    • Conduct inventory counts as needed
    • Support and maintain a safe work environment

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machinist
    • Attention to detail
    • Able to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals
    • Mathematical skills and analytical abilities
    • Experience in using tools and machines (lathes, grinders, etc.)
    • Team player with a commitment to quality
    • Able to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) for accurate measurements
    • Mechanical skills and proficient in math
    • Capable of lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds
    • Available for overtime work
