Position Overview:_

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for assisting adults who are in need of human services. The RBT will support goal-setting, personal growth, and behavior modification to their client.

The RBT will primarily assist adults by strategizing the needs of the client to the human services available; this includes executing a support plan that will help the client achieve self-sufficiency.

RBT is expected to provide clear and coherent daily routines that correspond to the individual's Support Plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:_

Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Responsible for providing personal support services, which may include assistance in maintaining physical space, equipment to ensure a high quality and safe living environment, and 24hour emergency assistance.
Monitoring the health and safety of all individuals.
Implement the individuals objectives and behavioral plans specified in the Individual Service Plan.
Documents all support services according to the clients ISP.
Submit consumer notes detailing which ISP Goals were focused on during the shift.
Assist their clients with activities of daily living and Assist in keeping accurate data on each individuals progress.
Supervise the individuals on all their tasks, training, and community activities.
Assist individuals on all household chores, yard maintenance, and included keeping the home neat and clean at all times.
Assisting in daily cleaning and vacuuming of the home.
Attends required agency staff meetings and inservice training.
Appropriately follow company protocol to administer Medications to individuals.
Properly document each selfdispensing administration in the Medication Administration Record.
Responsive to all emergency needs; reports and assists in the case of an emergency.
Communicates all attendance concerns with the supervisor or Human resources/
Serve as a guide or resource for Personal Support Instructors and Behavior Modification Specialists with understanding of clients care plans or job related tasks.
Collaborate with parents, RBT's and other professionals to ensure consistency in treatment goals and strategies.
Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.

Qualifications:_

Registered Behavioral Technician Certificate (required).
Each RBT must obtain an ongoing supervision for a minimum of 5% of the hours spent providing Applied Behavioral-Analytic services per month (required).
Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with special needs.
