Activity Coordinator - Indio, United States - Creating a Legacy

Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and implement a diverse range of activities to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents
- Coordinate group activities, outings, and events tailored to the interests and abilities of seniors
- Conduct oneonone sessions with residents who require individualized attention
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure activities align with residents' care plans
- Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident progress
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents during activities
Experience:
- Previous experience in dementia care, memory care, or senior care settings is preferred
- Knowledge of aging issues counseling and recreational therapy techniques
- Familiarity with assisting residents in activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt activities to accommodate varying cognitive and physical abilities
Pay:
$ $21.00 per hour
