Provides general repairs as needed.
Follows safe practices in the use of electricity.
Performs or participates in generator testing.

Demonstrates knowledge and ability to trouble shoot, and repair the systems in the facility:
Electrical, water, gas, security system, HVAC, plumbing, and other essential systems.
Responds timely to issues.

Ability to diagnose equipment problems and be aware of the need to call an outside contractor if repairs cannot be completed internally.

Knowledge of warranty status of all systems and ability to familiarize self with technicians and the systems.
Ability to repair and paint any wall surface.
Completes mechanical repairs of exhaust motors and pumps.
Ability to move furniture and equipment throughout hospital.

Assures that chemicals are used, stored and maintained in a safe manner according to manufacturer's recommendations and reports any hazardous conditions immediately.

Collects mail and delivers to post officeAdheres to all Hospital Policies and Procedures, specifically Guidelines for Appropriate Conduct, Corporate Compliance, Diversity, and Confidentiality.

Demonstrates the spirit of the philosophy, mission and values of the hospital through words and actions and implements them into departmental processes, programs, and the working environment.

Maintains positive working relationships and fosters cooperative work environment.
Displays honesty and mutual respect when communicating with peers and other departments.

Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of duties in this job classificationEducation & ExperienceHigh School diploma or equilvalent.

One year experience preferred in general maintenance, eletrical, and plumbingCurrent and active Driver's License (with a clean record)Effective communication skills; both orally and written.

Computer skills preferred.
Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Must be comfortable with heights.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
