    Job Title:
    Director of Midtown Montessori Academy @ Berkeley Park

    Reports to:
    Head of School


    Employee Classification:
    Full-time, Exempt

    Daily Schedule:
    Full-time: Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:30pm, with a 1 hour break

    Salary Range:
    $55,000 - $70,000 per year


    Midtown Montessori Academy is currently seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Director that will help set the tone and culture for a new Montessori program educating children 8 weeks through 6 years old.

    Midtown Montessori Academy @ Berkeley Park is a new 145-child Montessori school, currently under construction and opening Fall 2022 in Denver, located on the corner of 46th and Tennyson.

    This role's responsibilities include acting as the school's director in delivering a high-quality Montessori Program.

    A candidate in this role will work closely with the ownership to ensure the programs maintain the highest level of excellence.

    This role comes with a unique opportunity to hire every teacher in the center, allowing the Director to set the culture of the school to their liking.

    The Director will oversee the daily operations of the school including but not limited to; staff

    training/mentoring,

    parent relations, staff supervision and overall facility management. The director will be given an assistant to oversee basic administrative functions of the center.


    General Duties:


    Ensure that the school is operating in accordance with company, Department of Health, Department of Labor, and Colorado State Licensing standards.

    Ensure that all classrooms are staffed each day
    Communicate with staff members of absences & subs available

    Adjust schedule as needed to maintain ratio in classrooms

    Responsible for ensuring an educational, caring, and safe environment for the children and parents.

    Manage front office & daily operations of the whole school

    Supply Ordering:
    consumables, classroom supplies, etc...

    Coordinate with Cintas

    Manage teacher development, hiring and state training - ensuring that all paperwork and trainings are up to date for their licensing binders

    Collaborate with the Leadership team on the following:
    Payroll

    Calling inclement weather delays/closures

    Classroom newsletters

    Classroom budgets

    Maintaining Staff Handbook

    Coordination of Facilities Manager & Maintenance Form

    Consult with school nurse monthly


    Essential Skills & Requirements:
    Previous leadership experience in a licensed child care facility required.

    Montessori experience required, certification preferred.

    Must have experience as a lead teacher in a Montessori setting.

    Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.

    Proficiency in both Google & Office Platforms
