    Are you a Grocery Manager who dreams of living in a beautiful scenic area of New England?

    Kelly has a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Grocery Store Manager to lead a reimagined local store that has been a vital resource to the community for years. This small grocery establishment has been renovated and modernized as part of a new company. Our great partner is offering Direct Hire employment, a starting salary of $70,000 - $90,000 based on experience, annual bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits program. In this role you have overall responsibility for daily operations while guiding a small staff to perform both effectively and profitably.

    The three critical components of this position are balanced between Financial, Operations, and Facility Management. Our great partner will offer a relocation package for the right candidate

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:


    • Understand current store income and expenses to develop an effective operating budget


    • Analyze income statement and utilize reports to ensure store's profitability


    • Forecast staffing needs and develops a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas


    • Hire, train, and manage adequate staffing levels by allocating resources, delegating work, and effectively managing time through efficient scheduling controlling labor costs


    • Maintain proper inventory levels, ensure stocking, implement purchasing plans, and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals


    • Ensure all produce, products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability


    • Attend weekly management meetings and prepares sales reports


    • Responsible for marketing and branding store working through social media and local channels


    • Develop strategies to retain customers and employees


    • Enforce Standard Operating Procedures for Food, Health, and Safety standards


    • Maintains a clean store in accordance with OSHA standards


    • Demonstrate strong customer interfacing skills as well as problem solving skills


    • Report promptly and document all guest and employee incidences in the appropriate time frame


    • Work with local authorities to obtain permits and attend inspections

    Skills and Requirements:


    • Demonstrate excellent business sense including a practical mindset, good math skills, and an understanding of both logistics and human resources


    • Ability to be creative to respond to market trends and generate business with limited resources


    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, reward success, and encourage growth


    • 5 years minimum experience in a management role ideally in a Grocery and/or modern convenience store environment


    • 1-3 years' experience in a supervisory role performing hiring, coaching and talent development


    • Ability to implement and operate POS system and computer programs such as Microsoft outlook, Excel, and Word


    • Valid Driver's License required


    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred


    • Food Safety Certification preferred
