The city of Bay Pines, FL is currently seeking a full-time, permanent caretaker* for the A 60 building management at the Herzogenrath-Kämpchen community elementary school.


Located in the Kohlscheid district at In der Leer 19, the school has an average daily attendance of 215 students.

The school also has a gymnasium that is used outside of school hours.

The weekly working hours for this position are 39 hours. Part-time employment may be considered upon request. Annual leave must be taken during school holidays.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and order on the entire school grounds, including assuming responsibility for safety and winter maintenance
  • Maintaining, servicing, and caring for all school buildings, including extensive technical equipment
  • Independently carrying out minor repairs, maintenance, and servicing
  • Maintaining and caring for existing green and outdoor areas, the schoolyard, and access roads
  • Supervising and coordinating building and window cleaning
  • Preparing rooms for school activities and external events
  • Assisting with cultural events
  • Performing lockup duties
  • Supervising tradespeople

Qualifications:

  • Completed vocational training in a trade, preferably in the construction, electrical, plumbing, or heating and air conditioning fields
  • Experience in building management is an advantage
  • Physical fitness
  • Loyalty, responsibility, and reliability
  • Ability to work independently, in a structured and responsible manner, with forwardthinking, aboveaverage
