Job Description:


Child and Youth Program Assistant (All Levels):

As a Child and Youth Program Assistant (CYPA) in one or more child and youth programs in Underhill Center, VT, you will be responsible for the safety and well-being of children and youth.

This includes providing care and supervision, organizing age-appropriate activities, and ensuring the children's whereabouts at all times. You will also assist in serving snacks and meals, and may be required to transport children in government vehicles.


Child and Youth Program Assistant (Target Level):

In this role, you will coordinate and lead activities for children and youth between the ages of 6 weeks and 18 years.

You will create a welcoming and positive environment, and accommodate children with special needs. You will also brief staff, management, and parents on activities, and conduct inventory of equipment and supplies.


Child and Youth Program Assistant (Intermediate Level):
As an Intermediate Level CYPA, you will assist in planning, coordinating, and conducting activities for program participants.

You will create a positive and engaging environment, and ensure that daily schedules and activities are appropriate for the children's age and stage.

You will also brief staff, management, and parents on activities, and conduct inventory of equipment and supplies.


Child and Youth Program Assistant (Entry Level):

This is an entry level position that requires following instructions and assisting in providing planned activities for children using prepared curriculum and materials.
