- Identify, target and cultivate relationships with regional OEMS to expand our customer base
- Develop and execute sales plans and prospecting lists to achieve growth objectives with the target markets
- Work with internal new product teams to confirm fit, maintain internal databases to measure success
- Meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers within OEMs
- Follow up on quotes to gain market intelligence and measure success
- Collaborate with customers to understand their unique requirements and provide tailored solutions
- Effectively using CRM system to track all customer related activity
- Technical Expertise:
- Leverage technical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding processes and industry standards to effectively communicate product capabilities and advantages
- Provide technical support and guidance to customer, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that showcase our capabilities and value proposition
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to develop customized solutions that meet customer specifications
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on activities, sales volume, expenses, etc.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and challenges.
- Provide regular feedback to the management team regarding market insights and customer needs
- Proven track record of success in a business development or sales role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Strong technical background with knowledge of metal fabrication and welding preferred
- Must have the ability to read and understand detailed customer drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
- Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field or 2-4 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in sales, preferably in the metals and fabrication industry
