- Cleaning and organizing patient areas
- Proper care for laundry (patient bedding, and/or surgical laundry)
- Restocking supplies
- Safe patient handling and restraint
- Walking dogs (low-risk patients)
- Assist Advanced Technician Assistants, with necessary tasks related to patient care, diagnostics and procedures
- Deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners in a polite and timely manner
- Assess patient vital signs, and general patient monitoring
- Assisting with diagnostic tests such as radiographs, laboratory sample processing, examinations
- Preparing for and assisting veterinarians with procedures and surgery
- Opportunities to learn skills such as venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement, assisting ER Technician appointments, and Outpatient care
- 1 or more years' experience in a veterinary practice (receptionist, vet assistant, other) preferred, but not required
- Professional, pleasant, engaged, clear communicator who is attentive and respectful to referring veterinarians, clients, and co-workers.
- Must be able to follow direction, balance multiple tasks, be confident, and prioritize tasks appropriately.
