Job Summary

Assesses patients, creates treatment plans based on evaluations, and offers direct care. Documentation of progress and guidance to patients and caregivers is a key part of the role. Additionally, providing support to other physical therapists and participating in program development may be required. Ensuring quality care by overseeing assistants and technicians is also part of the responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelors or graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university program.

Licenses/Certifications: Current license to practice Physical Therapy in Texas. Certification in Basic Life Support.

A physical therapist with direct access:

Education: Doctoral degree with further specialized training or licensed therapist with additional continuing education.

Licenses/Certifications: Current license to practice Physical Therapy in Texas.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

The role involves physical activities like pushing, lifting, carrying, standing, walking, stooping, and squatting.
Dexterity, coordination, communication skills, and visual acuity are essential.

Principal Accountabilities

Takes charge of patient care, conducts thorough evaluations, interprets findings accurately, and develops comprehensive treatment plans.
Implements treatment programs, monitors patient progress, communicates effectively, and manages time efficiently.
Documents all patient information accurately and ensures adherence to policies and procedures.
Supports professional growth through education, training, and achieving department goals.
Commits to providing personalized, compassionate care to all community members.
