- Leads manufacturing team(s) to produce sterile pharmaceutical products.
- Ensures a safe workplace complies with established standards and procedures (e.g., cGMP and SOPs)
- Encourages growth and contributions by team members.
- Meets or exceeds business requirements, quality standards, and cost.
- Optimizes and improves the manufacturing process.
- Sets team direction for associates to know what is expected, and why.
- Plans and schedules work activities based on production schedules and changing priorities.
- Communicates Company and Department objectives to team.
- Develops team objectives (people, safety, quality, supply, cost, etc.), and gains agreement from Management.
- Monitors team progress versus objectives versus goals and communicate results to Associates.
- Monitors, analyzes, and controls variables, such as labor utilization, raw materials, equipment, and facilities.
- Operates, maintains, and improves production facilities to meet/exceed production goals.
- Ensures that materials required for operation are ordered and available.
- Ensures lines are staffed adequately and are running to meet production schedule and changing priorities.
- Ensures products are verified according to test procedures and schedules.
- Ensures production information is collected, stored, and reported (e.g, MBRs, test results, logs)
- Ensures maintenance activities are performed to resolve operating problems and preserve assets (inspections and PM).
- Audits production lines and troubleshoot production variances to identify root causes.
- Develops short-term resolutions to problems and assist to identify systemic solutions to prevent problem recurrence.
- Leads team to analyze operational data to identify and implement improvements to safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Participates in review, writing, and training of new and revised SOPs and MBRs.
- Assists in validation of all processes and equipment in area of responsibility.
- Leads cross-functional improvement teams.
- Represents Area Manager and assume duties as directed/required.
- Provides a positive work environment that engages associates and enables strong performance.
- Hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates associates.
- Carries out HR activities such as performance appraisals, training, interviewing, counseling, and staff and resource utilization.
- Plans/assigns duties, tasks, and overtime to associates according to their KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities), so that work assignments are carried out timely and effectively.
- Evaluates the performance of associates and celebrate successes.WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.

As a Supervisor, Manufacturing Production, you will be responsible for managing various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) including planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards; liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources, and planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions at our Fort Worth North Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, TX.
