What you will do:
Primarily responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring pharmaceutical processes and activities for safe and effective care of patients.
Assures staffing needs through hiring, supervising, training, scheduling, and payroll process for Des Moines pharmacy personnel.
Prepare and manage budget regarding
monthly review of high dollar,
non formulary expenses and coordinating the 340B program.
Oversee the procurement of medications, to include purchasing, inventory control, invoice approval
, medication charging and billing processes.
Prepare and revise policy and procedures and implement changes to assure compliance to
regulation of governing bodies to include joint commission, state board and federal entities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the discipline OR Master's Degree and no experience
Pharmacy degree (BS or
Pharm.
D.) from an ACPE approved college of pharmacy.
Masters in Health Care or Business Administration preferred.
Residency in hospital pharmacy accredited by ASHP or equivalent experience preferred.
Licensed, or eligible for licensure, in the state of Iowa.
BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire.
Minimum of 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
