- Perform medical examinations, diagnose conditions, and provide treatment in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
- Provide the full range of women's health services, including well-woman screenings, contraceptive management, breast and pelvic exams, and antepartum and postpartum care.
- Conduct obstetric ultrasounds and maternal-fetal monitoring.
- Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and make referrals as needed.
- Provide patient education and counseling on women's health topics.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records per MEDCOM and SMC standards.
- Participate in administrative and clinical duties to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and clinic protocols.
- Master of Science in Nursing degree with a specialty in Women's Health.
- Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) by the National Certification Corporation.
- Valid and unrestricted nursing license and prescriptive authority in a U.S. state/territory.
- 2+ years of women's health/OBGYN nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
- Current BLS certification. ACLS and NRP certifications preferred.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a favorable background check and CAC card.
- Adherence to Quality Control Plan (QCP) and participation in quality assurance activities.
- Compliance with all federal, accreditation, and facility regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Completion of required government training including AT Level I, OPSEC, Privacy Act, Information Assurance.
- Fulfillment of annual competency assessments, health screenings, and immunization requirements.
- Strict adherence to patient confidentiality and information security protocols.
- Candidates must successfully complete onboarding requirements including credentialing, privileging, and in-processing at both SMC and Fort Drum MEDDAC.
- This position is based at SMC but supports the Fort Drum OBGYN Clinic as part of the Military Health System.
- Previous experience working with the Military Health System or other federal agencies is preferred.
