    Description

    A financial firm is looking for a Junior Data Center Technician to join their team in Chicago, IL.

    Compensation: $100-150k

    The ideal candidate will have plenty of experience repairing computers and racking equipment. A significant portion of this position will be focused on coordinating installations and repairs at remote sites with external vendors, so discipline, attention to detail, and organization are paramount.

    Requirements:

    Open to working shift work:

    • Tuesday- Thursday, mostly normal hours (9am-5pm, roughly)
    • Fridays and Saturdays—Majority of work done in these days, majority Friday night through early morning Saturday

    Familiarity of computers and general server hardware knowledge

    Experience in data center coordination is not required

    Both basic server and networking troubleshooting skills

    Being highly organized is a requirement, as this role will be managing multiple projects at

    once

    Former experience in the FinTech sector is not a requirement, nor is it preferred

    No specific degree is required for this role

    This is an in-office role

    Previous military experience preferred
