Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions.

We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability and built-in quality.

We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.


We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee the full-cycle manufacturing of pump packages onsite in Spring, Texas.

You will manage the smooth operation of all assembly and fabrication production lines and be accountable for the results and output of the plant.

You will foster and instill a thoughtful understanding of manufacturing procedures in the production staff. You will build an organized and productive manufacturing process and team that meets production targets and exceeds customer expectations.

You will report to the Operations Manager.


Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm


Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 20+ employees across multiple departments including Assembly and Fabrication
  • Manage full cycle manufacturing of industrial portable pump packages from raw steel to high quality finished products.
  • Accountable for the production performance of the plant and meet weekly production targets set by the Operations Manager
  • Understand and teach employees each step of the manufacturing process, including welding, painting, diesel engine assembly, wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate daily with executive staff regarding issues affecting production in the assembly department.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures and training guides that improve throughput and efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
  • Work with the Materials and Purchasing departments to ensure production teams have the necessary parts and raw materials staged on time to meet delivery targets.
  • Enforce all safety and health standards to ensure the workforce stays accidentfree.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of production manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years management experience in a manufacturing environment with multiple supervisorlevel direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in applied science, manufacturing, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience leading steel fabrication and industrial manufacturing teams.
  • Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, diesel engines, engine and trailer wiring, welding, painting, and quality control standards of excellence.
  • Experience establishing a reporting hierarchy, managing and coaching direct supervisors and leads across a growing production team.
  • Experience defining, reporting on and speaking to daily and weekly production performance metrics.
  • Experience working with, informing and bridging gaps between departments (Engineering, Materials, Human Resources, Scheduling)
  • Willing to share and receive important criticism and direction directly, openly and honestly.
