    Ensures every instrument is properly decontaminated, sterilized, well-functioning, and available when needed.
    Sterile Processing Technician Essential FunctionsCoordinates with all disciplines within the surgery center to maximize patient outcomes and ensure a smooth flow of the surgical experienceCollaborate with the surgical team in ordering supplies and communicating when loaner equipment must be coordinatedDemonstrates knowledge of processes and procedures utilized in the Sterile Processing DepartmentFunction as a sterile processing technician during the stages of the sterile processing Knowledge to successfully monitor and operate decontamination and sterilization equipmentAble to prepare, clean, inspect, test, sterilize, and store instruments based upon the specific IFUMaintain and utilize knowledge of all applicable regulatory standards, including but not limited to AAMI and ANSI standardsIndependently follows all cleaning checklists thoroughly and appropriately to maintain a clean and safe environmentOther Essential Functions Must be willing and able to adjust schedule depending upon the needs of the companyMust be willing to float to AEC Surgery Center depending upon the needs of the companyMust present self at the workstation, ready for work, at the scheduled time Participates in department and company meetings, as requestedParticipate in acceptable continuing education, fostering career and skill development including meeting departmental continuing education requirementsPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation & LicensingHigh School Diploma, or equivalent, requiredGraduate of a Sterile Processing Technician program preferred, or 3 years' experience as a Sterile Processing Technologist requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) required, will provide upon hireCertified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferredExperienceAt least 1 year of Sterile Processing experience in the last 3-5 years requiredComprehensive Benefits PackageHealth insurance Dental insurancePaid Parental LeaveEmployer paid life and accidental death and dismemberment benefitEmployee assistance program (EAP) benefitCompany matched 401(k) planFlex spending accounts (medical and dependent care)
