    Description

    Job Summary:
    To assist Sales and Events staff with clerical and event support for all events held on campus.


    Job Duties:

    • Operate office equipment; faxing, scanning and copying of documents
    • Answer and transfer Vonage soft phone to appropriate staff
    • Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail
    • Prepare outgoing mail and packages for distribution
    • Assemble and compile basic data according to specific instructions
    • Utilize manual and automated methods to enter and retrieve data (i.e. run reports)
    • Retrieve supplies
    • Assist in the planning of major campus events (i.e. hanging signs, set up, take down, assisting as requested)
    • Keep office area neat and orderly
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Answer email communications with professionalism and accuracy
    • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

    Required Qualifications:

    • Must be a CSS student.
    • Must have the ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and manage time wisely
    • Must be detail-oriented
    • Must have the ability to accurately record credit card and cash payments
    • Good work ethic, positive attitude and acceptable attendance required
    • Computer skills required; experience and proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Suite preferred
    • Willingness to learn and use software (i.e. Constant Contact)
    • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people in a friendly, professional manner
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Professional presence to represent the College to internal and external customers
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Job functions require sitting, standing, lifting and walking
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
    • Ability to perform the above job duties above without the risk of significant injury
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Must be willing to work outside of normal office hours for major campus events (commencement ceremonies, other major campus events)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Self-motivated; self-direction to complete projects on a timeline
    • Sophomore or greater
    • Driver's license helpful (with clean driving record.)

    Special Instructions to Applicants:

    • Must be a current CSS student
    • Must qualify for federal student employment
    • Hours per week: 10 hours; more hours may be required during campus events
    • Must be willing to work daytime and evening hours, seven days per week
