Fifty-two weeks, 37.5 hours per week


DESCRIPTION:

The mission of the Office of Information, Technology and Accountability is to enable schools to achieve their instructional mission through the efficient delivery of aligned and appropriate technology and information.

As part of the Information Systems & Digital Learning team, the Application Analyst will ensure the integration of data between District systems, ensuring that all staff have user-friendly, real-time access to data that is formatted to address the critical decisions they make daily.

This includes real-time data exchange using the School Interoperability Framework (SIF), complex Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that provide seamless data consistency from system to system.

The Application Analyst has a crucial role to ensure data governance and data quality is embedded within the culture of information systems & Digital Learning


DUTIES:


  • Work with the District's Student Information System & Digital Learning team to support the processes and procedures needed to effectively manage student information.
  • Provide ongoing end-to-end technical support for PowerSchool, the district's Student Information System by responding to and resolving help ticket submissions.
  • Identify solutions to end-user requests for support and resolve technical problems.
  • Develop end-user documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Provide training for end-users.
  • Promote a self-service support culture.
  • Create and maintain documentation for administrative procedures.
  • Create and maintain project documentation and execute project plans.
  • Perform business process analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Support data auditing and data governance efforts.
  • Support the reporting of data to State and Federal agencies.
  • Schedule student information system software update releases.
  • Perform end-user testing and validation of software features and functionality.
  • Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Student Information & Digital Learning Systems Manager, Chief Information Officer, or their designee.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • BA in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related discipline preferred.
  • Familiarity with database management systems.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management concepts.
  • Ability to read and understand software manuals and other types of technical documentation.
  • Strong ability to analyze problems and take initiative in generating reliable solutions.
  • Familiarity with SDLC and project management methodologies.
  • Ability to contact technical support and resolve requests for support.
  • Familiarity with PowerSchool or other ERP software is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success working independently and collaboratively.
  • Adept at effectively managing multiple priorities in a high-demand environment.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings using communication and presentation software.
  • Familiarity with flow-charts and process diagrams.
  • Familiarity with SQL.
