Description
Job Description
Responsible for all aspects of engineering, operation, and maintenance of the Combat System Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) and other MDCS labs.
direct reports, matrixed staff, union employees (IUE, IFPTE, ASPEP) and sub-contracted employees.
Responsibilities include the leading and managing of staff's activities, including developing effective strategies, setting priorities, and effectively executing site operations.
Ensure tactical and non-tactical environments are available to support baseline development requirements. To meet/exceed site availability and other contractual requirements.Manage site and operation and maintenance activities; initiating and/or attending technical meetings and reviews to develop site equipment implementation plans for upgrades and integration of new equipment.
Manage the development, assembly, and installation of test support equipment. Manage the scheduling of tests and the operational utilization of CSEDS and other labs. Ensure technically appropriate apportionment of system time for development and training teams and provide prompt resolution of conflicts.As part of the lab management responsibility, this position will be responsible defining and executing the investment strategy for MDCS as related to the labs.
The investment strategy will include short term and long-term investments required to ensure bare metal, virtualized, and cloud based Aegis variants are fully defined and represented in capital improvement plans including development and test environments required to delivery capabilities.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 18+ years of relevant, professional experience or 15+ years of professional experience with a related Master's degree
Lab and property management experience
Strong leadership and effective Communication skills
Project & Planning Management skills
Leading multiple project teams through project life cycles
Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience including managing budget, cost, and performance
Industrial / Government engineering management experience
Computing skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) including MS Project
Ability to work on-site Full Time.
Desired skills
Technical Leadership experience; developing effective strategies and leading teams
Experienced with Navy and/or government customer
Manage a cross-functional staff within a matrix organization
Prior experience managing government or internal labs and facilities.
Demonstrated experience with Aegis, Aegis sub-systems, and/or Aegis related labs

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $146,800 - $281,400 .
Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Non-represented full-time employees:
accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
