    Description

    Clean Harbors in Altamahaw, NC is looking for a skilled Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks/work equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. This position involves driving and non-driving tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Ensure compliance with Health and Safety practices
    - Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers
    - Loading and unloading of trucks
    - Perform manual labor on site
    - Proper placarding of vehicles
    - Maintain logs and reports
    - Follow all compliance regulations
    - Safely operate vehicles in accordance with regulations
    - Follow corporate operating guidelines
    - Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines
    - Be on call for emergency response
    - Handle site-remediation and hazardous materials

    QUALIFICATIONS

    - Valid Class A CDL
    - Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days
    - Proficiency with mobile devices
    - Meet physical job requirements
    - Pass background check, drug test, and physical exam

    Preferred Qualifications:

    - Commercial driver experience
    - Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
    - Previous Hazmat experience
    - Ability to operate manual transmission
    - Previous manual labor experience
