    Description

    Clean Harbors inStokesdale, NC is looking for a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks/work equipment at customer sites. Some of the vehicles operated include vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. This role involves performing driving and non-driving duties on and off customer sites linked to hazardous waste clean-up.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Prioritize Health and Safety by following safe work practices, policies, and processes
    - Drive commercial trucks and support field laborers when needed in a team-oriented atmosphere
    - Operate different types of Class A trucks
    - Load and unload trucks
    - Perform manual labor on-site to meet customer requirements
    - Ensure proper placarding of vehicles to meet Company and DOT regulations
    - Keep daily logs, time sheets, and reports up to date
    - Adhere to local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules
    - Safely drive vehicles following U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements
    - Follow corporate operating guidelines and procedures
    - Adhere to company environmental health and safety guidelines
    - Carry out assigned duties
    - Be available for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week if required
    - Assist with site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling as needed

    QUALIFICATIONS

    - Valid Class A CDL license
    - Ability to acquire Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
    - Proficiency in using various mobile devices
    - Capable of meeting physical job requirements
    - Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical assessment as per position requirements

    Preferred Qualifications:

    - Experience as a commercial driver
    - Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
    - Previous experience with Hazmat
    - Ability to operate a manual transmission
    - Previous experience with manual labor
