The University of Maine System is accepting applications for a Strategic Sourcing Manager.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing sourcing activities of goods and services in compliance with public competitive bid guidelines.
This position's responsibilities encompass approximately $50-70 million in addressable annual spending with the portfolio primarily consisting of high risk-high spend.
The Sourcing Manager also is responsible for Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for the University's Leverage and Bottleneck (high risk-high spend) Suppliers.
This position is responsible for sourcing goods and services used in the administration and support of the University.Categories include but are not limited to:
Facilities, transportation services, energy, professional services, office supplies, travel, furniture, insurance, banking services, IT hardware/software, print, food, scientific equipment and supplies, marketing, and other categories as appropriate to the position.
UMS Strategic Procurement supports Fully Remote / Work-From-Home employees and is not dependent upon a specific physical location. Office space on a University of Maine System campus location can also be provided if desired.Based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant, the annual salary range is low to mid $50s plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan.

Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years' demonstrated experience leading public or private sector procurement initiatives.
Demonstrated project management experience.
Preferred:
Master's degree in business administration or other applicable area of study.
