**Job Overview:**
APTIM is searching for a Proposal Specialist who has a good understanding of the federal proposal process with a basic understanding of state and local proposals as well.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**
+ Lead task order or standalone opportunities of various sizes with a primary focus on federal proposals
+ Support Proposal Managers with large ID/IQ efforts as volume lead or writer
+ Take end-to-end ownership of proposal development and related support processes, including:
+ Developing and maintaining proposal management tools such as compliance matrices, schedules, outlines, storyboards, win themes, and action items
+ Conceptualizing and developing strategic win themes and discriminators
+ Leading a team of writers, graphic artists, schedulers, estimators, procurement, contracts, and other key proposal staff from kickoff through proposal delivery
+ Writing and editing proposal/marketing narrative
+ Leveraging existing archived proposal information
+ Interviewing technical and program staff to extract critical information
+ Tracking all solicitation amendments and modifications
+ Performing quality and compliance checks of all proposal sections and volumes
+ Participating in the development of oral presentation slide concepts and scripting, as needed
+ Closely interacting with capture managers, program and project managers, strategic business unit leaders, and technical professionals
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Critical skills include time management, communication, and teamwork
+ Strong organizational skills and follow-through
+ Strong attention to detail, and proofreading skills
+ Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
+ Ability to motivate along with a "do-whatever-it-takes" attitude
+ Ability to manage situations involving high stress and deadline pressure
+ Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, engineering or related discipline, or equivalent
+ 3+ years of federal proposal experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-volume proposal environment is preferred
+ Some large (>$10M) federal proposal experience is required
+ DoD proposal experience is preferred
+ Ability to balance and prioritize multiple completing deadlines
+ Ability to conceptualize and write compelling, marketing-oriented proposal narrative, as required
+ Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite is required
+ Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is preferred
+ Excellent command of English grammar and punctuation is required
+ Proven ability to work remote with little to no supervision is preferred
+ Although not extensive, some travel and evening and weekend work may be required
**Additional Desirable Qualifications:**
+ APMP certification is preferred
