License/Certification:

  • LCSW, LCSW-C, LCPC, LCADC (MD State Required)

Position Requirements:

  • Ensure proper staff is available and prepared for groups each day at each level of service.
  • Promptly notify HR of no call no show absences of group facilitators
  • Promptly Place a substitute group facilitator or lead the group in the absence of main group facilitator; allot extra time for additional notes to be completed by substitute facilitator in addition to normal job duties.
  • Approve group facilitator curriculum monthly to ensure an array of topics are covered for maximum and effective engagement of clients, if applicable
  • Ensure Leads receive attendance sheets by 9:15am and all clients are properly accounted for as required.
  • Ensure that group facilitators are following daily group schedules accurately; attendance, breaks, lunch will be built into the daily schedule by service level to reduce client loitering.
  • Review and approve group notes based on accurate reflection of the approved curriculum, client engagement and response to group
  • Ensure that clinical staff onsite are maximizing client engagement
  • Clients are to be receiving weekly(minimum)mental health individual therapy by assigned therapist onsite; OMHC staff will review caseloads and schedules with clinical director during monthly meetings/supervision
  • Collaborate with Psychiatrists to identify clients who may need additional mental health support (i.e., referral to MH PHP, additional mental health individual therapy) on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure SUD lead counselors are conducting individual sessions with clients at the frequency required at each level of service in a timely manner.
  • Clients identified as participants in TCM and/or PRP will have visits scheduled out for the month; TCM director and PRP Rehabilitation Specialist will communicate the schedules of their staff to clinical director via monthly meetings/supervision
  • Clients in crisis will be directed to the nearest available counselor (SUD or MH); clinical staff to be trained on properly documenting these sessions to ensure proper billing of clinical service rendered.
  • Clients to receive "exit interview" by clinical director (most preferred) or designated staff upon discharge to properly refer out; this is also an opportunity to retain the client and understand any potential possibilities for growth
  • Ensure clinical documentation is timely, accurate and reflective of services rendered
  • Clinical staff to be trained on proper documentation protocol for ASI assessments, biopsychosocial assessments, ASAM criteria, group notes, individual notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, transition plans, crisis session notes, TCM referrals, TCM assessments, TCM service notes and monthly summaries, PRP referrals, PRP assessments, PRP service notes and monthly summaries; TCM Director and PRP Rehabilitation specialist will be responsible for training direct care staff on documentation with approval from clinical director.
  • Clinical Director will utilize the audit tools provided by Optum to conduct quarterly reviews of clinical documentation of each program, per CARF guidelines. The charts will be selected at random by the Compliance Director or other designated staff.
  • Clinical Director will maintain ongoing supervision of clinical staff to ensure compliance with COMAR regulations and UBHS procedures
  • Identify program challenges, opportunities for growth and program successes
  • Note trends with respect to intakes (high season, low season, referral sources, etc.)
  • Awareness of client feedback & utilizing it to improve client experience/outcomes.
  • Acknowledgment of client successes & milestones
  • Providing consistent clear & constructive feedback to other leaders and owners as it pertains to clinical functioning of the company; VERY

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • In Person (potential hybrid in the near future)

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Curtis Bay, MD 21226: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:


  • Master's Degree

Experience:


  • Addiction medicine/counseling: 4 years (required)
