Department Overview

IT Product and Enterprise Platforms is a unified organization comprised of various departments that collaborate effectively to deliver high quality technology solutions.


The IT Vegetation Management team is responsible for collaboratively working with the Vegetation Management LoB in the Wildfire Risk organization to implement solutions that make our communities, customers, and employees safer.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner in the IT Vegetation Management organization that will provide a clear vision for our Vegetation Management technology product to meet PG&E Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP) commitments.

This product aims to improve field operations, workforce management and cycle times for Distribution and Transmission Vegetation Management programs.

The Expert IT Product Owner will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships, acting as the liaison with other teams within PG&E IT, other business organizations and will have the ability to influence to overcome hierarchal challenges.

From the vision, the Product Owner forms well defined user stories, prioritizes user stories in the backlog, and provides a clear timeline for the product.

This role is also responsible for overall product success, with a focus on technical quality and delighting users.


PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting.

This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.

The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.


A reasonable salary range is:


Bay Area Minimum:
$128,000.00


Bay Area Maximum:
$218,000.00

&/OR


California Minimum:
$122,000.00


California Maximum:
$207,000.00

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.


Responsibilities:

Recognizes and prioritizes the most important work for the product by seeking to understand customer needs, receiving product feedback, and keeping an eye on technical and organizational strategy
Understands current and future regulatory requirements
Develops feature requirements and acceptance criteria working with LoB, while acting as a gatekeeper for new functionality
Define and launch minimum viable products, adding key features/requirements incrementally
Develops implementation plans, metrics and establishes operations functions to introduce new technology
Provides leadership to product teams to improve execution and team dynamics in working to provide value
Partners with other products organizations to deliver feedback on existing products and introduce potential products for future programs
Identifies the appropriate customer audience, their preferred communication channels, and potential customer response benchmarks
Acts as primary liaison between various departments, stakeholders, business community, and lines of businesses
Occasional field visits to directly gather the pain points and guide the users in the field


Qualification:

Minimum**:
High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
5+ years of IT experience
3+ years of working in Agile environment
High learning agility
Experience as Product Owner of an agile development team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High-energy, passionate, and positive outlook with strong sense of ownership


Desired:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
Experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment
Experience in Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum Methodology

Experience in the following technology domains: geospatial information systems (GIS), ArcGIS Online (AGOL), Salesforce Field Service (SFS), Amazon Web Services (AWS), AZURE, One Cloud, Palantir Foundry, Microsoft Power BI, data analysis with Microsoft Excel, Mobile Solutions, MuleSoft

Experience in the following functional areas: wildfire response, Incident Command System (ICS), electric control center operations, Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS)
Working knowledge of PG&E's Enterprise IT infrastructure, Cyber Security, and other technology domain
Experience with Business Process and Requirements development and authoring stories for technical resource consumption
Excellent stakeholder management skills,
