    Interim Accountant - New York, United States - Manpower Group Inc.

    Description


    Jefferson Wells is seeking a Staff Accountant for a contract opportunity with a large manufacturing firm located in Manhattan for a consulting opportunity with a Real Estate Investment company.

    The consultant will assist with the month-end close process and enter journal entries in preparation of close.

    Pay Rate $55/HR - $70/HR

    Primary Responsibilities


    • Work on the monthly, quarterly and yearly close, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows
    • Prepare tax workpapers
    • Create and maintain chart of accounts
    • Bank Reconciliation Module and Fixed Asset Module
    • Prepare trial balances, income statements, budgets and forecasting weekly
    • Prepare and post all general entries
    • Assist in development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls
    • Review budget vs. actual results for operating expenses and provide explanations of variances
    • Develop, analyze and interpret accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the business

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business is required
    • MBA &/or CPA desired
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
    • At least 5 years of accounting experience
